I am trying to catch up on some blogging and I wanted to share a few photos from when the Detroit Pistons hosted the Phoenix Suns at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Be sure to check out the rest of the images right here.

This past weekend I was blessed to be able to cover the Detroit Pistons as they hosted the Boston Celtics at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pistons were able to get their first home victory of the season as they defeated the Celtics 103-83. Be sure to check the rest of the photos right here, which include the sequence of Will Bynum’s dunk and Jay Sean performing during halftime.
Last week I was blessed to be able to photograph the season opener for the Wayne State women’s basketball team. The Warriors hosted the Lewis Flyers at the Matthaei Center. The Warriors fought hard but fell 75-71. Here are a few pictures from the game.
A few weeks ago I was blessed to be able to photograph the NBA Preseason as the Atlanta Hawks took on the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills. This was a start to a very busy weekend for me which consisted of this game, the World Series, and one NFL game. Please, be sure to check out more pictures right here.
It is that time of year again, basketball season! I am really looking forward to it since basketball is one of my favorite sports to photograph. Having played three years in high school I really enjoy the game and have a good understanding of it, which helps when photographing it.
After finishing my last class for the day I was blessed to be able to head over to the Detroit Pistons practice facilities in Auburn Hills. There I took portraits of the team and was also able to document media day. The players were all super easy to work with and it was definitely a good time. Be sure to check out the rest of the images right here.
I recently was able to photograph the Detroit Pistons as they hosted the Chicago Bulls. It was a very exciting game and with just second left Derrick Rose made a three pointer over Greg Monroe to send the game into overtime. In overtime the Bulls came out on top 100-94. Here are a few images and be sure to check out the rest right here.
Last weekend I was blessed to be able to spend a few days in Holland, MI. Hope College was hosting the NCAA women’s division III Final Four basketball tournament. The weather that weekend was unbelievable! I was fortunate enough to have some free time to explore downtown Holland, which seemed to be a pretty cool town and hopefully I can go back one day to explore more.
Alright, down to the business now. The reason I was there was because once again, I was able to photograph the tournament for Amherst College. The Lord Jeffs were looking to defend their title from last year’s Final Four and they were also going for a perfect record with no losses in the 2011/2012 season and post season. Unfortunately, they were unable to do so. In the semi-final round they lost a very close game to George Fox, and in the consolation game they lost again to St Thomas (MN). The consolation game was a very emotional game for the seniors of the team being that it was their last game. Here are some photos…
March is an awesome time of year. We get to bump our clocks ahead an hour which means there is more sunlight in the evening, and that is something I love. It also means that we get an extra hour of sleep in the fall. I know it is tough now because we lose an hour, but just think of that hour you will get in the fall!
March also brings the greatest basketball there is. March Madness is just plain awesome! However, that means basketball is wrapping up and there won’t be much more basketball to shoot. This is something that I don’t like. For me, basketball is one of my favorite sports to photograph. I am not sure why though. Maybe it is because I played for three years in high school or maybe it is because I have photographed more basketball than any other sport. Whatever the reason is, I was blessed to be able to shoot three games in a little over twenty-four hours this past weekend. I photographed my last Oakland Community College basketball game for the year, which unfortunately was their last game also since they did not move on to nationals. The other two games were the Pistons’ games as they hosted Toronto and Atlanta .
