Last week I was blessed to be able to work with Oakland Community College and their athletic staff as we worked to capture portraits of the athletes. The athletes were awesome to work with! They were eager and excited to take the pictures! Here are a few from the shoot.
Earlier this week I was blessed to be able to cover Oakland Community College’s volleyball team at their new facility in Auburn Hills. Being the head athletic photographer there and not having too many rules that I need to follow allows me to have greater access during the events. Since that is the case, I try to shoot from a variety of angles that I normally wouldn’t be able to shoot from. One example is the picture above. Lately I haven’t been able to blog as much as I would like too. It is just hard to sit down and find time to actually blog. I have been super busy shooting for Oakland Community College and US Presswire. Today thought, I would like to share some pictures from the 2011 NJCAA Division II Volleyball Regional Championship at Grand Rapids Community College. Oakland Community College played Owens Community College for the title and they came out on top and will be heading to Nationals! I haven’t been blogging lately just because I am having trouble finding the time to sit down and write a little something. However, I did want to share a little bit with you today. I have recently started shooting for Oakland Community College Athletics again. The first sport that is in season for them is volleyball. Volleyball is not a sport that I photograph too often but when I got a chance to, I accepted the challenge to try something a little bit out of the norm for me and see what I could come up with.
I recently found out that Bryan Lindstrom, who is the head volleyball coach at Oakland CC, just won the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Volleyball Coach of the Year award.
