This weekend I was blessed to be able to cover the American League Division Series. The Oakland Athletics were at Comerica Park going up against the Detroit Tigers. My job was to shoot from up top as my colleague worked in the dugout. Here are some pictures and be sure to check out the rest right here.
I just recently was blessed to be able to cover the Detroit Lions as they hosted the St. Louis Rams at Ford Field. Here are a few images and be sure to check out the rest right here.
Last night I was blessed to be able to photograph the last preseason game the Detroit Lions had as they took on the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field. Please, be sure to check out the rest of the images right here.
***I am now back at school and I will be keeping my post shorter but I will still try to at least post some pictures from the events I cover.***
Earlier this week I was blessed to be able to cover Oakland Community College’s volleyball team at their new facility in Auburn Hills. Being the head athletic photographer there and not having too many rules that I need to follow allows me to have greater access during the events. Since that is the case, I try to shoot from a variety of angles that I normally wouldn’t be able to shoot from. One example is the picture above. Below are a few more from their matches and be sure to check out the rest of the images right here!
Most events that I cover consist of some type of fast action, whether it be a football, racing, basketball, etc. However, recently I was able to cover a Slovak Festival. This was a little bit of a change of pace for me. I didn’t have to shoot with both eyes open and could just relax and try to shoot creatively in a different environment. Here are some pictures. Hope you enjoy!
Last weekend I was blessed to be able to head out to Brooklyn, MI, which is home of the Michigan International Speedway. MIS was the host for Pure Michigan 400, a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
I wanted to quickly share a few photos from the preseason game that I recently photographed for US Presswire. The game was at Ford Field where the Detroit Lions hosted the Cleveland Browns. The Lions lost in the last minute when the Browns made a field goal. Enjoy!
Last weekend when I was in Canton, OH photographing the Pro Football Hall of Fame game between the Arizona Cardinals and the New Orleans Saints and the Enshrinement, I was able to tour the HOF for a little bit and take some pictures. I did not focus on these pictures in my previous blogs that I wrote (here and here) but I though I would share a few pictures now.
As many of you know the biggest thing I photograph is sports, which would make me a sports photographer. However, when it really comes down to it, I am a photojournalist. I love telling stories with photographs, whether I am photographing a sporting event, a wedding, etc. Recently, I had a new opportunity to photograph something I had never photographed before, but something I have been wanting to do for a very long time. I traveled down to Nicaragua where I documented a mission trip.
