I don’t get to shoot hockey too often but I am always up for the challenge. So, when my editor asked me to cover a NHL game, I was glad to do so. This match up was the Detroit Red Wings as they hosted Vancouver Canucks at the Joe Louis Arena. Here are some of my images from the game. Enjoy!

I was blessed to be able to spend New Years Eve and New Years Day covering the Winter Classic and the Alumni Showdown.
The Alumni game was held at Comerica Park in downtown Detroit. While covering the Alumni game, my main goal was to capture the atmosphere and the surroundings with some action. Below are some of the shots that I came up with.
This past weekend I was blessed to be able to shoot the Columbus Blue Jackets as they took on the Detroit Red Wings at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. For this game I wanted to set up an overhead remote, so I was sure to arrive extra early. When setting up a remote there are a few essentials that I use.
The last game the Red Wings lost at their home rink, the Joe Louis Arena, was just days after Halloween on November 3rd, 2011. Since that time they have been able to win all of their 20 home games. Tomorrow they will be going for an all new record of winning 21 home games in a row. Here are a few images from some of the victories since November 3rd.
How could it be any better? Photography, Hockey, 11/11/11, Veterans Day! This was the case last Friday. I was able to photograph the Edmonton Oilers as they took on the Detroit Red Wings at the Joe Louis Arena in downtown Detroit.
