This past Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph two more basketball games for Oakland CC. It happened to be Pink Zone so the women’s team wore pink. They also had t-shirts for sale and a silent action going on to raise money.
I was asked to photograph the individual portraits for the Oakland CC’s softball team and also to take the team picture. To save me a trip we scheduled the shoot before a basketball game I was going to photograph for Oakland CC. Above is a team picture where we were having some fun, and below is just an individual portrait.
This past week I photographed the Oakland CC vs Macomb CC men’s and women’s basketball games. Being that the games were conference games with about a month left in the regular season made for some intense moments. In the end, Oakland CC men’s and women’s teams both won their games putting themselves closer to the playoffs.
A few weeks ago I received a call saying that Marek D. had recommended me to take his place in covering a group from the Detroit area that was traveling to Washington DC to participate in the March for Life. First off I was honored that he had recommend me, and secondly I was glad to accepted this job since it did not interfere with my class schedule. Here are a few pictures from the four days of the trip there and back. Also there was a video that was put together with my photos and videos that I took.

This post will be dedicated to the things you don’t see throughout the year, the things I don’t share. If you follow me and most of my work you know that I sell myself as a still photographer – not any kind of still photographer, but as a sports photographer and also a wedding photographer. I attack sports and weddings in almost the same way, that is with a photojournalist point of view. Whether I am trying to capture the emotion of an athlete after a big game or capture the emotion of the bride and her father as they walk down the aisle, I shoot the same way. When photographing other such events I have a similar approach. Since I never blog or show these pictures in my portfolio, I will dedicate this post solely to all the other events I photograph throughout the year.

I recently found out that Bryan Lindstrom, who is the head volleyball coach at Oakland CC, just won the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Volleyball Coach of the Year award. The volleyball team had an overall record of 32 and 5 with an in conference record of 14 and 0. As of October 27th, 2010, […]
I was able to photograph Oakland CC’s alumni basketball games yesterday. I was glad to do so. Basketball is one of the sports that I really like to shoot.
The present Raiders played the alumni. It was a good time. It was a fun environment, but also a very competitive environment. The men Raiders were not so fortunate. They lost the game to the alumni in a very close game, 81-78.
Recently, I was going through my pictures on my harddrive. I was trying to organized everything and clean it out a little. I realized that I never posted any of the pictures from a baseball tournament I had photographed a few months back. Since baseball is still in season with the World Series, I thought I might post a few photos from it.
I photographed my last volleyball game for the season this past week. Here are a few pictures from it.
