The Detroit Lions defensive brought on the heat and were too much for the New Orleans Saints to handle as the Lions hosted the Saints at Ford Field in Detroit, MI. With just over three minutes left in the game the Lions score two touchdowns to win the game 24-23, which has them tied for first place in the NFC North. Enjoy!
Last week I was able to photograph all the team portraits and individual portraits for the Oakland Community College Raiders men’s and women’s basketball team. We had two different setups for this shoot. We moved through the first one and then switched to the second setup. Be sure to read on and see the setups. Enjoy!
This past weekend I was blessed to be able to photograph the Detroit Lions as they hosted the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field in Detroit, MI. The game came down to the kickers with Dan Carpenter hitting the game winner. Here are some of my images from the game. Enjoy!
I recently was able to cover an NFL match up bewteen the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions as the Lions hosted at Ford Field in Detroit, MI. Here are some images from the game. Enjoy!
Friday night I was blessed to be able to photograph the last home preseason game for the Detroit Lions. The Lions hosted the Jacksonville Jaguars at Ford Field in Detroit, MI. Here are some of the images.
Last Saturday I was able to photograph the Detroit Lions preseason opener as they hosted Johnny Manziel and the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field in Detroit. The Lions came from behind to win the game 13-12 by scoring the only touchdown of the game. During preseasons there is not as much emphasis put on photographing game action as there is on getting new players on their new teams. This may be rookies or free agents who signed in the off seasons. The big story from this game was Johnny Manziel. He made his NFL debut and Jim Caldwell won his first game as the Detroit Lions head coach. Here are some of the images. Enjoy!
Last weekend I was able to photograph Manchester United and Real Madrid as they played at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. The match was record breaking for the most people to watch a soccer game in the United States. It was quite the experience and here are some of the pictures. Enjoy!
This past weekend I was blessed to be able to cover part of the series between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians at Comerica Park. Cleveland won the first game 9-3 and they also took the second game 6-2. With this blog post I decided to mix things up a bit. I went with all black and white photos with a lot of detail from the game, but there are still some action shots! Be sure to click on the photos to see them in color, too. Enjoy!
Last week I had the opportunity to once again work with a South Korean company, Penta Press, and photograph a South Korean baseball player. This time I would be photographing Hyun-Jin Ryu of the Los Angeles Dodgers as they went up against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Without further ado, here are some of my pictures of Ryu.
A few weeks ago I was approached by a Korean company to do some work for them. First off, I was impressed that they found me because it means the website and blogging are working! But I was also excited to be able to shoot internationally. The job was to cover Shin-Soo Choo as he and the Texas Rangers were in Detroit taking on the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
Everything did not go as planned, but in this field of work you have to be ready and able to adjust. I had arrived very early so that I could cover batting practice which was one of the requests I was given. However, the Rangers did not take take batting practice. Then Choo was not playing left field like he usually does. He was the designated hitter for this game, which meant that the only action I could get of him would be batting and base running. Fortunately for me, he started off the game with a single and scored during the first inning. Here are some more pictures of Choo!
