This past week I photographed the Oakland CC vs Macomb CC men’s and women’s basketball games. Being that the games were conference games with about a month left in the regular season made for some intense moments. In the end, Oakland CC men’s and women’s teams both won their games putting themselves closer to the playoffs.

I was able to photograph Oakland CC’s alumni basketball games yesterday. I was glad to do so. Basketball is one of the sports that I really like to shoot.

The present Raiders played the alumni. It was a good time. It was a fun environment, but also a very competitive environment.  The men Raiders were not so fortunate. They lost the game to the alumni in a very close game, 81-78.

Recently, I was going through my pictures on my harddrive. I was trying to organized everything and clean it out a little. I realized that I never posted any of the pictures from a baseball tournament I had photographed a few months back. Since baseball is still in season with the World Series, I thought I might post a few photos from it.

It has been a long time since I have posted something.  This summer I have focused more on my wedding photography However, this week is the beginning of a new school year.  Am I excited for lots of homework that come a long with school?  No, but the good news is that with a new school year comes a new sports year, which I get to photograph.  The first event I covered this year was tennis. A sport I have never photographed, and a sport I don’t understand.

Today I was able to photograph the second to last softball game for Oakland. Right before I pulled on to the campus it started to rain and it was looking like I was not going to be able to go out and shoot. Luckily, it was a double header and it started clearing up beautifully once the second game started.
