Tonight, I found myself wrapping up a bit of a busy schedule as I shot my last game until next week. Tonight the Detroit Pistons hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game came down to the last minute when the Cavs pulled away with the win.

Last night the San Antonio Spurs were going up against the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills. With the recent firing of the Detroit Pistons head coach Maurice Cheeks, I wanted to arrive extra early to make sure I was able to get a few pictures of the interim head coach John Loyer before the game. With that here are some of the pictures from the game. Enjoy!
Once again, I found myself at The Palace of Auburn Hills for another basketball match up. This time the Detroit Pistons hosted the Denver Nuggets. Here are a few images from the game. Enjoy!
Tonight, despite all the snow, I was able to make my way over to The Palace of Auburn Hills as the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Detroit Pistons. Here are some of my images from the game. Enjoy!
Last night’s game was a match up between the Detroit Pistons and the New Orleans Pelicans at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game was an exciting one which came down to the final seconds. It was tied with seconds left and the Pelicans had the ball. New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Eric Gordon was able to drive to the basket and make the shot winning the game for his team. Even with the lost, Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond had a dominating game with 20 rebounds and 21 points. Here are some images from the game as the Detroit Pistons hosted the New Orleans Pelicans at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Enjoy!
Last night I was blessed to photograph the Oakland Community College Raiders as they hosted the Macomb Community College Monarchs in Auburn Hills, MI. After an hour delay, due to road conditions, the women took the court first and battled it out. The men were up next and when the night was over Macomb had taken a game and Oakland had taken a game.
While photographing the game it hit me that it has been four years this month since I began working with the athletic staff at OCC. Those four years have flown by and I am very grateful to be able to work with everyone there. I hope that we are able to continue and have much success in the future, but for now I hope you all enjoy some of the pictures from last night.
Last week I was asked by the Detroit Pistons to cover their open practice at the Palace of Auburn Hills. They were holding an open practice for the general public and also had some special events going on. The first event was the Spirit Three Point Competition. This was the final round and twelve participants had made it. Next was the Pistons open practice and scrimmage. Lastly, all the season ticket holders were treated to a meal and a chance to mingle with the players. Here are some of my images. Enjoy!
Last week has been a super busy week. Busy can be a good thing, though. I was blessed to have the opportunity to be able to photograph four basketball games, take four exams, and write a ethnographic report. With all this craziness, I still wanted to share some of the photos from the basketball games. The first game was at The Palace of Auburn Hills as the Detroit Pistons hosted the New Orleans Hornets. The second game was again at The Palace as the Detroit Pistons hosted the Washington Wizards. Then the last two games were at Oakland Community College as the men’s and women’s teams hosted Mott Community College.
Where do I even begin? I have been blessed so much this year! I have been blessed with my family and with the friendships that have grown, as well as the new friendships I have made. I have been able to further my education and have been able to do a job I love.
Earlier this week I was blessed to be able to photograph the Detroit Pistons as they hosted the Golden State Warriors at The Palace of Auburn Hills. I always look forward to photographing basketball and it is one of my favorite sports to photograph. It is always a nice way to break away from school and have a good time working. This game was a very close game and the Pistons came up short as the Warriors won by just 7 points. Please, be sure to check out the rest of the images right here.
