I was blessed to be able to spend New Years Eve and New Years Day covering the Winter Classic and the Alumni Showdown.
The Alumni game was held at Comerica Park in downtown Detroit. While covering the Alumni game, my main goal was to capture the atmosphere and the surroundings with some action. Below are some of the shots that I came up with.

The Winter Classic game was held at the Big House. It broke records as the most viewed hockey game with over 105,000 people in attendance. To add to the feel of the Winter Classic, there was a great snow storm and it felt like 0o F. Despite the snowy cold weather, the atmosphere at the game was amazing. The fans were all into it and stayed through overtime and the shootout. Here are some of the images from New Years Day.
